i have this problem.

books
i like to read. [that's not the problem, in case you were wondering].

the problem is that i would rather read a book about the constitution for my own satisfaction than read from my biology textbook for school. i think i'm just taking the wrong kind of classes.

if i read as much for my classes as i do for leisure, i would probably be getting straight a's. but it's only the first month of the semester - still plenty of time for studying up on plant reproduction [kill me].

my recent reads include:
the tipping point
the female brain
the screwtape letters
and the time traveler's wife

right now i'm working on the 5,000 year leap.

my goal is to read at least one book each month this year, including church books.

so what should be next on my list? i would love your suggestions...

xoxo.

oh man, you should talk to spencer...he just started a book club (for some of the men in the ward). they are reading church books and also historical books. i think you would fit right in. the first one is "faith to heal and to be healed" or something like that. everyone really likes it so far. i just tease him that he's in a "book club."

Looks like we have the same taste in books! Liked tipping point, time traveler's wife was sad, and screwtape letters is an all time favorite of mine!

Have you read East of Eden yet? I also love Memoirs of a Geisha (much better than the movie), and The Kite Runner. Time Travelers Wife is an interesting one. My sister liked it a lot better than I did. I love reading too! Unless it's about Plants. Sorry.

The 5,000 Year Leap is very interesting and enlightening. Good choice! And keep reading for fun!

I am actually reading the time traveler's wife right now, too. I put it down for a few minutes to write this. But isn't it SO GOOD? I love it. And I'm only 150 pages into it.
